Job description:

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, patient self-starter to pack household items for senior clients downsizing/moving, under a specific program tailored to make it as simple and easy for them.

You are:

• Trustworthy, reliable, and dependable
• Patient and understanding with seniors and those living with dementia
• Team player and independent starter
• Able physically pack household items and lift boxes up to 25 pounds
• Must have a valid G-class license to drive the company vehicle
• Critical thinking an asset
• Comfortable working in changing environments (people’s homes) with flexible dynamics…this is definitely not a routine desk job- variable job sites and hands-on physical aspect to it as well
• We are bonded and insured, so the ideal candidate will obtain a Police Criminal Records Check for Vulnerable Sector (to work with seniors)
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer skills are an asset

 

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Pack, wrap, and protect household and commercial items safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload boxes and supplies from vans and moving trucks.
• Label, organize, and inventory packed items for transport.
• Handle fragile, valuable, and specialty items with care (glass, artwork, electronics, antiques).
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at all times on the job site, and within all daily activities.
• Follow company procedures and safety standards at all times.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to meet schedules and timelines.
• Resolve minor on-site issues and report concerns to the team lead.
